Arrival/Departure
-
Please ensure your cat arrives in a secured cat carrier. We will keep the cat carrier here for the duration of the stay.
-
Please remove all collars for safety reasons before arrival at the cattery.
-
Cats have an uncanny knack of going missing shortly after the cat basket is brought out, so please do not let the cat outside on your arrival date.
-
We will check that your contact details are up to date and take an emergency contact too.
-
If somebody else is collecting your cat on the day of departure, you must inform us of their name and contact details prior to departure. We will not allow any cat to leave our care without that prior authorisation.
Food
-
We offer a 5% discount if you provide sufficient food for the duration of the stay. Otherwise, the food is included in the boarding cost. If there is a shortfall, we shall add this to the final cost.
-
Please note that we cannot supply specialist food or food prescribed by a vet.
Health/Medication
-
Your cat must be in good health when arriving for their stay. Please notify us immediately if their health changes before their stay with us or if they have had any recent illnesses or injuries.
-
Please ensure you read the “Vaccination” section of this website, in particular the requirements for vaccination - all cats must be vaccinated against Feline Enteritis and Cat Flu.
-
Please ensure your cat has had a flea and worm treatment prior to boarding with us. If we do find evidence of live fleas or worms, we shall treat the same and charge this on your final invoice.
-
All medications (tablets, liquids, powders) must be in the original box/container with the prescribed amount of medication clearly labelled. Clear instructions for any medication will be noted at the time of arrival.
-
If your cat becomes unwell while in our care, we shall endeavour to contact you and your own veterinary practice. However, if the event is an emergency, we shall take your cat to Chapelfield Vets, Long Stratton which is situated very close to the cattery. All vet charges must be settled directly with the veterinary practice or with us if we have settled the account.
-
We do not administer medication by injection.
General
-
We are unable to board un-neutered male cats over the age of 7 months.
-
Arrival or collection of your cat outside normal opening hours is by appointment only.
-
If a cat is not collected within two weeks after the departure date we will begin steps to hand them over to a rescue centre for rehoming.
